Who can afford to shell out ten grand for laser tattoo fading? Maybe Angelina Jolie. (The tabloids say she has tat regret.)

Don’t think a tattoo removal cream is a second-rate option. It works. Give it time. Make a game of it. Race Angelina or a buddy. Chances are you’ll get there first.

Choose your tat cream carefully. Watch out for serious side effects and complications from skin peelers. TCA (Trichloracetic Acid) is an acid skin peeler. Obviously, burning off skin hurts. It is so painful that dermatologists use anesthetic when using it on acne scars or wrinkles. A tattoo removal cream is gentle. It draws ink to the surface with the help of an exfoliating device/pad, where it is naturally shed. Acid is not gentle. Docs use it on wrinkles but not generally on tats. Patients aren’t satisfied with the fading. They end up with permanently messed up skin.

There are two huge differences between a tattoo removal cream and TCA fading.

1. Pain
2. Scar and complications

1. Pain

• A removal cream does not hurt. The ingredients do not break the skin.
• TCA cracks the skin. (By the way, lasers damage skin, too. Ten grand for a nice scar.)

2. Risk of scars and complications

A removal cream does not scar. A complication, if you can even call it that, is that at first the tat looks brighter. This doesn’t last long. It shows the product is working.

• Trichloracetic acid leaves a scar. Skin is fragile. When wounded it always scars.
• Severe burns happen if you use the stuff around your eyes, mouth, and lips. Even the websites selling TCA products warn you not to use it on your face.
• It can be used ONLY on Caucasian skin. It really messes up black, brown and Asian skin.

A good cream is safe, painless, works over time on any skin color, and doesn’t attack your skin.

One of the fads among the youth today is having a tattoo. A tat is a kind of skin and body art. It can be done permanently using needles or temporarily simply by painting the skin with henna. While having a tattoo is a form of self expression, people wear art for different reasons.

Some people wear tattoos to show their devotion to a particular person or thing. Lovers have the name of their loved one tattooed on their skin. They are also a form of deviant art and sometimes people wear tattoos to be unique. This, in their eyes, makes their personality cool and hip. Among teenagers today, tattoo is not only a way to be upbeat. There is another reason, and oftentimes the same reason that puts them in danger. Teenagers wear tattoos to tell everyone that they belong to a particular gang.

Teenagers often fall victims to gang wars because their membership is recognized through the tattoo they wear. As a move to decrease gang violence, the government sponsors tat removal programs.

The tattoo removal teens program for youth assists in a free removal of tattoos among teenagers. There are also other removal programs which offer discounts to adults who want their art removed.

The methods of a tattoo removal program are two. The surgical method removes it using laser. The not to have surgery or home remedy uses a chemical to remove the mark on the body. There are several ink removal options. But there are also many con tattoo specialists who perform the removal procedure inadequately, and this puts the patient at risk.
